Admissions

Spectators are allowed at this event. Admission fees will be charged per day and are as follows:

Ages 4 & Under: Free
Ages 5 & Up: $5.00

Note: Admission fees are transferable from venue to venue for the day.

Competition Format

Competition will be 5 vs. 5 (4 field players and a goalkeeper). Team rosters are a minimum of 5 players with a max of 12 players. Round robin play with a minimum of three games per team, whenever possible. Preliminary games will be scheduled for 40 minutes with a 5 minute halftime. Playoff games will be scheduled for 50 minutes with a 5 minute halftime. Scoring will be based on win-loss-tie record (i.e. 3 points per win, 1 point per tie, 0 points per loss). If a tie exists after all preliminary games, then it will be broken by a point scoring system that will be supplied with the rules.

Players must wear shin guards and proper uniform.

Playing Surface

All games will be played on a concrete surface. With that, we recommend wearing tennis shoes. Any type of tennis shoe that will give you maximum traction on smooth concrete. No cleats of any kind are recommended. 

Referee Requirements

Iowa Games will be paying soccer officials. Providing names of officials is no longer required, however we still request your help to build our officials database.  If you know anyone that would be interested in being a paid referee at the Winter Iowa Games indoor soccer tournament, please click the link below. This information will help us gather information about you, your availability, and age preference. As we get closer to the event, our assignor will contact you regarding your schedule. Registration includes a cotton t-shirt. Athletes have the option to upgrade their cotton shirt to a dri-fit shirt for an additional $12.00 until January 2, 2025.
