10:00 AM – Giant Slalom Begins

Once both runs for Giant Slalom are complete, there will be a 20 minute break and then the 1st run of Slalom will begin.

U08 (racers under 8 years of age based on 12/31/2024)

U10 (8-9 year olds)

U12 (10-11 year olds)

U14 (12-13 year olds)

U16 (14-15 year olds)

U18 (16-17 year olds)

U20 (18-19 year olds)

Ages 20-25

Ages 26-35

Ages 36-45

Ages 46-55

Ages 56-65

Over 65 years old

Females and males will run at the same time throughout the Giant Slalom and the Slalom events.

Competition Format

There will be two racing classifications for the downhill skiing event(s) at Sundown Mountain. These classifications will be an Open Class and a Citizen Class. Each event, Slalom and Giant Slalom, will include two (2) runs through the race course. The winners in each event and each age group will be determined by the combined times of the two (2) runs.

Citizen Class: Athletes in this class will be skiers with little or no racing experience. They will participate in a Giant Slalom race prior to the Open Class Giant Slalom race.

Open Class: Athletes in this class are people who have racing experience or those athletes who are paid to ski. Athletes who register for Open Class are not eligible to race in Citizen Class.

Rules

 Athletes are encouraged to wear protective helmets during competition.

T-shirts

Registration includes a cotton t-shirt. Athletes have the option to upgrade their cotton shirt to a dri-fit shirt for an additional $12.00 until January 2, 2025.

December 31, 2025

Awards ceremony will follow the days last event in the upper level of the South Lodge as quickly as the judges tabulate the scoring. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event and age class. Please note that no medals will be mailed out after the Games. It is the responsibility of the athlete to obtain any medal prior to departing the competition site.

Sport Specific Information

Lift ticket and any equipment rental is NOT included in entry fee.  Lift ticket: $46 + tax
Tickets are to be purchased at the Mountain Center Ticket Window.
Registration will take place at the South Lodge.
