Un-Official USA Taekwondo Referee Seminar

Date

Saturday, July 18, 2020
1 – 6 pm

Site

Lied Recreation Center

Cost

$10 per person

Seminar Information

This seminar will provide athletes and coaches a review of the current USAT rules and highlight any changes that have occurred. The referee seminar will be a combination of classroom time as well as ring work with scenarios given.

The seminar is open to coaches and players.  It is found that coaches and players that have a familiarity with the rules have an advantage due to the fact they know what referees look for when adjudicating a match, as well as a better understanding of the game.

Seminar instructor, Master Mike Wickham, has been referring NCTA (National Collegiate Taekwondo Assocation) Championships for a number of years and in 2012 was selected as a Vice Referee Chairman. On December 12, 2017 he was elevated to the position of full Referee Chairman. He also serves as the Iowa Taekwondo Alliance State Referee Chairman.
