Forms & Weapons will be scored between 6 and 10 with 7 being an average score. We will score by way of show of hands. The first three competitors will be called up, complete their forms and then will be scored. From there on the remaining competitors will be scored singly.  If there is a tie, judges will have the tied students run their patterns again and then use a show of hands to determine the winner. Flips, cartwheels, and somersaults will not add extra points. Forms will be based on beauty, grace, power, speed and control. Forms judges will judge in the following manner: Judge A will score hand techniques, Judge B will judge the Foot techniques, and Judge C will judge the entire pattern. This is an open event and all forms/styles will be accepted.

Breaking will be scored based on the following criteria: did the competitors break the boards used? how many boards were used? What were the techniques and level of difficulty? Based on the criteria there should be no ties. Judges will decide as a group how to rank the competitors and for what reasons.

For Children ages 3-6 you may use 4” wood.   Children ages 7-12 may use 6” wood.    Children and Adults ages 13 and up may use 12” wood.  White to Orange Belts will only break 1 board. Green & Blue Belts will only use 2 boards. Red, Brown & Black Belts will use 3 boards.

A punch to the head in a legal target area = 1 point

Highest point winner will be the victor. At the end of the round all judges will call off scores and the score keeper will write down the number of points and which color won.
