2026 QUALIFYING EVENT
All judo athletes must pick up their t-shirts at Sukup End Zone at Jack Trice Stadium (1732 S 4th St, Ames, IA 50011)
Athletes will need to register for a free account on Smoothcomp (https://smoothcomp.com/en). Preferred to complete before event, but not required.
Each match is 3 minutes, modified double elimination or round robin. KATA Competition: for brown belts and under first three sets of NAGE-NO-KATA, advanced all forms, all sets. The tournament directors reserve the right to adjust divisions based on the number of entries. Junior divisions will be established based on a combination of weight and age.
Modified IJF rules will apply. No chokes allowed if either competitor is under the age of 13. No arm bars allowed in Junior competition. USA Judo sanction application filed.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to top finishers in each division.
ALL athletes must have a white Gi, and current membership card from USA JUDO. Athletes must also provide proof of current insurance.

Athletes receive a cotton t-shirt with their entry fee. For $12, athletes can upgrade to a dri-fit shirt during registration. The deadline to order a shirt is June 26.

Spectator Admissions will be taken at the event. Spectators can pre-purchase admission by clicking HERE or admission can be purchased on-site.
