Iowa Games Marketing Gold Team

March 25 – July 1 (ending date negotiable)
Part Time / Project based

4 – 6 position available.

Who: Individuals who are enthusiastic about sports and marketing with an opportunity to serve as Gold Team members at grassroots marketing events.

Qualifications: Strong verbal communication skills are required.  Must have driver’s license and be willing to work weekends and/or evenings.  Introductory knowledge of sports marketing and Iowa Games familiarity is preferred.

Job Description: Gold team member will promote the Summer Iowa Games and other upcoming Iowa Games events at a variety of sports tournaments, league games, road races, athletic contests and community events.  As a Gold Team member, students will be asked to endorse the Iowa Games by distributing event materials and other promotional items.  Some Gold Team members will be asked to serve as the Iowa Games mascot, Champ, at select events.  Members will receive Iowa Games t-shirts, polos, promotional materials and giveaways.  Gold Team members will work in teams of 2 – 3 individuals.

Job Duties: Promote the Iowa Games at local sporting and community events.  Engage with athletes, parents, coaches, fans and attendees to promote the Iowa Games.  Work with Iowa Games staff members to best determine marketing strategies and events to attend.  Build the Iowa Games brand throughout Iowa and other promotional responsibilities as assigned

Hours: Monday – Sunday (10-18 hours/week).  Mostly weekend and evening hours.  Hours vary based on events attending.

Other Perks:
$800 paid stipend at the completion of marketing project
Travel provided for select events.  Reimbursement for travel if transportation is not available.
