Format
7 versus 7. Games played to 9 points during round
robin play, but may be played up to 13 in the playoffs. At the time-cap
teams will complete the point they are on; if there is a tie,
one more point will be played. Tournament will be round
robin pool play followed by a single elimination tournament
to determine medal winners. All teams will qualify for
some level of
single-elimination
playoffs. Men and women play in the same
division. 20 player roster limit will be enforced (no gender
requirements). Teams must
rank themselves from
1 to 10 with 1 being
noncompetitive and
10 being most
competitive on the
entry form. Please use the
following as
guidelines when
considering your
team’s self-ranking.
8-10: Most of the
team (>50%) has
played on UPA college
and/or club teams
5-7: Most of the
team (>50%) has
played in summer
leagues, intramural
teams, and/or high
school teams
3-4: Most of the
team (>50%) has
played in at least
one tournament/Iowa
Games
1-2: Most of the
team (>50%) has
never played any
organized Ultimate
before
Rules

As always, Spirit of the Game should prevail for both
players and
spectators.
Teams are
responsible for
their spectators. The Ultimate
director and
committee reserve
the right to eject
teams and/or their
spectators if they
do not follow the
Spirit of the Game.
Roster

A
player may play on
only one team. A
minimum of 7 players
and maximum of 20
players allowed per
team. New players and/or replacement
players must complete an
Individual
Entry Form and the waiver must be signed by a parent or
legal guardian (for athletes under the age of 18). For replacement
players, please indicate which player they are replacing.
No roster changes will be allowed in the Iowa Games office
after July 21. On-site roster additions will be accepted on
Saturday, July 24, just prior to the team's first game for
$20. On-site additions must be handled through the Ultimate
Commissioner with a maximum of five (5) on-site roster additions
per team. On-site roster substitutions are not allowed, only
roster deletions (no refunds) and/or additions (for $20). On-site
roster additions are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
Coaches who register
online are allowed to make roster changes online for free at
any time until the
deadline. To make

box on the right.
Uniforms
Similar colored shirts are required. Numbers
are encouraged, but not required.
Equipment
Teams are required to supply their own disc
(Discraft 175 gram disc required). No metal cleats will be
allowed, but athletes may wear plastic cleats.
Eligibility
All athletes must be 15 years of age or
older.
