Level
Descriptions
Novice: An amateur division for beginning players.
Intermediate: An amateur division for players who
have developed basic skills and/or have tournament experience.
Advanced: The top amateur division.
Open Pro: The top professional division, available
to players of any age.
Master Pro: Player must be at least 40 years of age
on the day of competition.
Grand Master Pro: Player must be at least 50 years
old on the day of competition.
Senior Grand Master Pro: Player must be at least 60
years old on the day of competition.
Format
Nine, 18 or 36 holes of stroke
play in various divisions. Those divisions playing 36 holes
(except for the
Open Pro) will play 18 holes at
Carroll Marty Disc Golf Course
at Gateway Park and 18
holes at the Iowa State University Disc Golf Course.
Those individuals
competing in the
Open Pro
division will play
36 Holes at the Boone Disc
Golf Course located
at McHose Park.
The winner of the
Open Pro division
will qualify for the
US Championship in
October. Medals awarded to three lowest
scores in each division. Ties for medals will be broken by
sudden death play-off.
Rules
Current PDGA Rules shall govern play. Athletes
must provide their own PDGA-approved discs.
Entry
Limitations
Each
session will be limited to the first 90 golfers. If any division
receives less than 3 entries, that division will be closed.
Check-In And
Players' Meeting
Check-in will close
one half hour before start time. Players' meeting will be
15 minutes before start time. Attendance at players' meeting
is required. Open Pros check-in will take place at the Scout
Cabin at McHose Park
in Boone. Check-in
will commence at
Gateway Park for all
other divisions.
Awards
Medals will be given to first, second and third
place.
