Time

SINGLES - Those individuals advancing from district qualifying to the finals will be notified of their advancement and assigned times.

DOUBLES -
Individuals advancing from the regional festivals will be notified of their advancement to the finals and assigned bowling times.

Regional Competition Information

QUALIFYING ROUNDS - SINGLES
The initial round of singles was held in February and March at bowling centers across the state.  At this time, entries in the singles event are closed.  Bowling roll-offs continue throughout the summer with the finalists advancing to the State Finals in Ames.  Annually, more than 2,000 individuals compete in the initial rounds, with more than 700 individuals advancing to the Finals.

QUALIFYING ROUNDS - DOUBLES
Like the singles competition, the initial qualifying rounds for the doubles competition were held in February and March at bowling centers across the state.  Entry into the doubles competition is no longer accepted at this time.  Qualifying roll-offs took place at local bowling centers with winners advancing to the communities of Cedar Falls/Waterloo and Des Moines.

Competition Information

Format

Athletes will bowl 3 games using 100% handicap from 220 or no handicap if bowling in the scratch division. The average used will be the average used when qualifying. Doubles competition may consist of 2 male, 2 female or 2 person coed.

Age Determining Date

January 1, 2008

Rules

Current A.B.C., W.I.B.C., and Y.A.B.A. rules will apply.
