Competition Format
Events will be grouped by test level as indicated. Event eligibility is based on test status as of Jan. 23, 2012 (entry deadline). Males and females will compete separately. However, if entries warrant and to give all athletes an opportunity to compete, male and female skaters may compete together in the same event. Levels with more than eight (8) entries may be divided by age. Competition will start with beginners and progress through each level with adults being the last group. Athletes may enter one level higher than the level for which they are otherwise qualified.
System of Judging: 6.0
Adult Skaters please indicate your freestyle level on the entry form.
Practice Ice
The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena (CRIA) will be offering practice sessions. Please call to reserve a time, 319-594-3363. Practice session times are subject to change if the competition needs to start earlier.

RULES
USFS rules will apply as this is a sanctioned event. Refer to the 2011-2012 rulebook for well balanced program events. Judging will be done by certified USFS judges for all events. Judging method: 6.0 judging system. The referee reserves the right to combine groups of similar ability, if entries warrant. Athletes are not required to be members of the USFS to participate in State Games, but must meet USFS eligibility requirements.
Awards
Medals will be presented to the top three athletes in each division and will be presented at the conclusion of each level.
