Competition Format
Competition will consist of 25 targets from the 16 yard line and 25 targets from the 19 yard line with rookie and intermediate divisions of SCTP shooting all 50 targets from the 16 yard line. Equipment: shotgun, maximum 12 ga. (Note: 20 ga. may be used), 3 dram, 7 1/2 shot, 1 1/8 oz. target loads. Target fee will be collected at range. Eligibility Requirements
All participants must be enrolled in the High School & Scholastic Clay Target Program to enter. Before registering for competition, shooters need to obtain their DNR Shooter Number from their coach. For information on enrollment in the High School & Scholastic Clay Target Program, participants/coaches should contact Ben Berka with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources shooting sports. Please allow at least 3 weeks to process registrations and DNR shooter numbers.
Rules
The Iowa High School Clay Target Association will govern the Senior (high school) shoot. The Rookie (5th Grade and Under) and Intermediate (6-8th Grades) divisions will follow Scholastic Clay Target Program rules. Due to the nature of this competition, the range officers' decisions regarding any question concerning rules will be final. Hearing and eye protection are required. All shooters are responsible for their own equipment.
Age Determining Date
September 1, 2011. Grade Divisions are based on the 2011-2012 year.
Event Information
Shooters must note at which site they will be shooting. A updated list of registered shooters will be available by clicking the View Athlete List above. Food may be available on-site. Additional fees for targets will be paid on-site.
