
Hoopin' At The
Dome presented by
U.S. Bank is a
half-court, 3 on 3
basketball
tournament.
Hosted by the ISF
and Des Moines Park
and Recreation,
Hoopin' At The Dome
was created to
promote both the
Iowa Games in the
city of Des Moines
and sport & fitness
throughout Iowa.
The tournament is
played in parking
lot 15 in the shadow
of the Iowa State
Capitol.

The Iowa Sports
Foundation (Iowa
Games) in
conjunction with the
Iowa Department of
Natural Resources
have
developed a program
called Fish Iowa
Games.
The Fish Iowa Games
program is a
competition where
students cast from
three distances
using the flipping,
pitching and casting
techniques.

The Golf Classic,
held annually in
late summer as a
fundraiser for the
Iowa Games, is a 4
person best shot
tournament.
The Golf Classic has
been held previous
years at the
Harvester,
Tournament Club of
Iowa and Echo
Valley.

Net Fest
Bankers Trust Net
Fest, a
basketball
and
volleyball
tournament began in
1997 with 179 young
athletes
participating in the
one-day event.
Today, Net Fest basketball and
volleyball are held
on two separate
days, bringing
nearly 1,500
athletes along with
hundreds of parents
and fans onto the
Iowa State
University Campus.
The basketball
tournament is
traditionally held
the Saturday
following
Thanksgiving, while
the volleyball
portion is held on
the first Saturday
in January.
