Iowa Games Search for 25 Year Participants
In celebration of its 25th Anniversary Summer Iowa Games powered by the Iowa Food & Family Project, the Iowa Sports Foundation is searching for Iowans that have been involved with the sports festival for every year it has been in existence. Those individuals who qualify will be invited to the Opening Ceremony at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames on Friday, July 15 where they will be recognized by ISF president, Jim Hallihan, and participate in the lighting of the Iowa Games Olympic-style cauldron.
Former athletes, volunteers, and officials are all eligible, with the only criteria being that they have participated or volunteered at the Games every year since 1987, including this year’s 25th Anniversary Summer Iowa Games powered by the Iowa Food & Family Project. Individuals who believe they qualify should contact, Cory Kennedy at 888.777.8881 x 106 or cory@iowasportsfoundation.org.
This year, the Games will feature thousands of athletes and volunteers from the entire state. For more information about the Games or to sign up as an athlete, volunteer or official visit www.iowagames.org.
