Competition Information

1. Each individual on the team must complete his/her portion of the team entry form and have a parent or guardian sign the waiver.

2. Please indicate both your team name and division on the entry form.

3. Mail the completed entry form, waivers and entry fee, payable to:

4. Team coaches will receive a confirmation letter with tournament information.

5. Tournament rules, schedule and map will be posted online approximately seven (7) days prior to competition.  NO SCHEDULES WILL BE MAILED!

6. No refunds will be issued due to cancellation by weather or team withdrawal after schedules have been completed.

7. Employees of Mary Greeley Medical Center will be on-site to attend to any minor injuries.

8. The maximum number of teams may be adjusted at the discretion of the Iowa Sports Foundation staff.

9. Roster Changes/Additions may be made at no additional charge and must be postmarked by December 31 (waivers are due by Jan. 2).  Teams that originally register online may make roster changes online until Jan. 2.

Tournament Rules

1. Pool play will consist of two (2) games, rally-scored to 21 points with bracket play to follow pool play.  The number of teams advancing to bracket play will be determined after the deadline.

2. Teams will provide referees and scorekeepers.

3. USAV rules with some rule modification will apply to all divisions.

4. Players may appear on only one roster.  Players may be required to present proof of identification (driver's permit/birth certificate & photo) at tournament check-in or upon request of a tournament official.

5.  Teams are required to wear matching colored shirts with numbers on the back.

6.  New for 2008!  The libero may serve in this tournament.

Eligibility

Athletes should check with their school's athletic director concerning participation.  Net Fest cannot be held accountable for determining an athlete's eligibility.

Age Divisions

Only female divisions will play volleyball.

If divisions do not fill, teams may be asked to play up a division or to combine divisions.  The Iowa Sports Foundation staff may take additional teams if court space and time permit.

* 18 & Under- Players who were born on or after Sept. 1, 1989 and a high school student during some part of the current academic year.
